Honda Maintenance Schedule

We want your car to stay in the best condition, and the best way to know when you should service your new Honda car is to schedule service appointments once you reach a certain amount of mileage. It is important to remember that your car will need basic service, like an oil change, at each of these intervals, but you should ask your service technician to inspect cooling systems, electrical systems, and the brakes.

  • 7,500 Miles – After the first 7,500 miles in your Honda, you should have the oil changed and the tires rotated.
  • 15,000 Miles – Once your Honda reaches 15,000 miles , you should have the oil changed, your tires rotated, and should have your service technician inspect, or possibly replace, items like brakes, tie rods, suspension and the different systems in your vehicle.
  • 30,000 Miles – At 30,000 miles, it would be best to have your valve clearance checked, along with the basic maintenance and inspections. You should also have the drive belts inspected or possibly adjusted, then replace the air cleaner and spark plugs.
  • 45,000 Miles – 40,000 miles is a great time to replace the coolant and brake fluid as you take your Honda in for basic maintenance plus any inspections.
  • 75,000 Miles – The 75,000 mile mark is the time when you should take your Honda back to the service center for basic maintenance and inspections, plus having the coolant replaced.
  • 90,000 Miles – As you get closer to the six-figure mileage, you should service your Honda by replacing brake fluid and the transmission fluid when you take your car in for basic maintenance.
  • 105,000 Miles – Once your Honda finally reaches 105,000 miles, you should expect a number of replacements. Starting with replacing the timing belt and coolant, then you should have the water pump and idle speed checked as your Honda receives basic service and inspections.
  • 120,000 Miles – After your Honda reaches 120,000 miles, you should repeat the same process from when your car reached 30,000 miles. You should rely on inspections to make sure that your car stays in the best shape regardless of how many miles it has.
